Program Overview

RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Earn your B.S.N. from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota to practice evidence-based nursing that can help you call upon even quicker critical-thinking skills in your patient-centered approach to care. Nurses who graduate from an RN-to-B.S.N. program could qualify for top nursing positions with salaries of up to $30,000 more than RN-only colleagues.

Our expert faculty members are practitioners dedicated to teaching you the advanced nursing techniques, technologies, and business skills you need to excel as a nursing leader preparing you for a lifelong career in the field. The curriculum is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and includes a capstone that you can complete in the healthcare setting of your choice.

Program Highlights

Upon graduation, you'll be able to:

  • Provide evidence-based care through the use of informatics
  • Integrate quality assurance, resource allocation, and financial management policies into professional nursing practice
  • Use progressive care and therapies as part of a complete-care approach
  • Improve patient outcomes by using new healthcare systems
  • By the end of the program, you will have mastered all Nine Essentials of Nursing Practice outlined by the CCNE. You'll also be fully prepared to enter graduate school if you'd like to become a nurse practitioner, anesthetist, midwife, or specialist.

Career Impact
